If I allow auto-signups, no matter what sort of spam filter I put on it, the spammers still get through because they know how to craft the messages to WP to bypass the filters. Even though Wordpress has some nice features, perhaps it is time to scrap this and try something else. Thank you for going the extra mile on this. At least now you know the pitfalls and can evaluate better if enough progress is made later to try this experiment again when more of the leaks have been plugged. All my hopes, Ariel Erin,
